6 Questions With Our Artist Friend Rashedjrs

We love all the Rashedjrs's masterpieces that make us feel our thoughts are not alone. Today, she answered 6 questions about herself and her art. Let's dive into it and get to know her better! 👯

Q1 Would you like to describe yourself a little bit?

Hello there!
I'm a self-taught painter from Kuwait.

Q2 What does your work aim to say? And the reason why you choose the Cyberpunk style?

I don’t think my work aims to say anything. Instead, I aim to set the stage for a potential story, where the viewer can see whatever they wish to see in that image.

As for the cyberpunk style, I'm not so sure. The gritty yet colorful world has an undeniable charm, and the science fiction element can give one an unlimited license in terms of creativity

Q3 Who are your biggest influences? And any specific reason?

Yoji Shinkawa and Paul Kwon (Zeronis) are two of the most major influences for me.
I’m a huge Metal Gear fan and Shinkawa’s gritty yet fluid style is absolutely gorgeous.

As for Zeronis, I believe he was the one that started it all for me. Back in the days where his tag name was “Shiramune”, I came across his artwork and I just remember thinking “I want to do that..”. Ever since that day I’ve been fascinated with digital art.

Q4 As these two of your arts are the most popular on Bazaardodo, would you like to tell us the original inspiration?

"At Shifts-end"was quite the fluke. It started out as a scribble in a notebook, and at the time perspective was very difficult for me (still is in a sense) but the more I added to it the better it looked. It was a series of fortunate discissions.

"City Lights"was meant to be the first page of a comic book I was writing with a close friend of mine. Unfortunately, it's on hold indefinitely, but at least the first page was salvageable (:

Q5 Which current art world trends are you following? And what kind of art are you going to create?

I'm not consciously following any trends to my knowledge, but im sure im being influenced by several subconsciously. As for future artworks, I really can’t say. We will just have to wait and see!

Q6 What do you think about the Brand of Bazaardodo and the collaboration with us?

Bazaardodo has had an excellent startup from what I can tell. And I'm definitely pleased with our collaboration. Their team is super helpful and deliver on their promises.
